Yati Narsinghanand Popular religious leader widely famous for his controversies speeches, Last Month Narsinghanand organised a Event in Haridwar that called for genocide of Muslims.

According to NDTV Report, on Sunday Police officer said Yati Narsinghanand is arrested for objectionable remarks on women, and not for hate speech at the Dharam Sansad or religious assembly

Later Adding Police Officer said, The Yati Narsinghanand has been issued notice in the Hate Speech Case also, and he will be remanded in that case too.

“Yati Narsinghanand has been arrested for derogatory comments against women, not the Haridwar hate speech case right now. He has been issued a notice in that case so far. He will be remanded for the hate speech case too, the procedure is on. We will include the hate speech case details also in the remand application,” the police official said.

Currently Yati Narsinghanand is current arrested for misogyny, on a Complaint filed earlier this Months for his objectionable and derogatory remarks against women of other religions.

The FIR invokes hate speech charges, in addition to charges of insulting women. However, it does not pertain to the hate speeches at the Dharam Sansad in Haridwar.

Yati Narsinghanand is among the people named in the FIRs lodged over hate speeches at the Haridwar “Dharma Sansad” or religious assembly last month.

Jitendra Narayan Singh Tyagi ( Waseem Rizvi before ) is the only co-accused to be arrested in the case so far. Jitendra arrest came nearly a month after the event, only after the Supreme Court intervention.

Clips from the Haridwar event (held from December 17 to 20) were circulated on social media and drew sharp criticism from former military chiefs, activists, retired judges and even international tennis legend Martina Navratilova.
